Why your members area belongs on your own domain and brand
Why a premium program deserves a members area on your own address, with your colors and no third party logos, and how to set it up step by step.
You spent years building a brand people recognize and trust. Then a client buys your premium program and lands in an area with another company's address, another company's logo and emails signed by another company. The experience you sold starts with noise.
A members area on your own domain, with your own identity, removes that noise. In this article you will see why it matters and how to set it up without headaches.
Why your own domain and brand matter
Trust from the first click
When the access link arrives with an address like space.yourbrand.com, the client recognizes who sent it. That lowers suspicion around access emails, keeps the message from looking like a scam and cuts down on questions such as "is this link really from you?".
Recall and return visits
Transformation programs depend on clients coming back many times. An address tied to your name is easier to remember, easier to type, easier to save on a phone and easier to find again weeks later.
No platform logo competing with yours
In an area branded by the platform, clients are constantly reminded they are inside a generic product. In an area with your brand, they are inside your method. For higher priced programs, that difference shapes how people perceive what they bought.
Clients who speak other languages
If you serve people in the United States, Canada, Europe or Latin America, the area needs to speak each client's language. Setting a default language for your school and letting each client choose their own keeps anyone from getting lost among buttons they do not understand.
Consistency between email and login
The client receives an email with your brand name, clicks, creates a password on a page with your colors and logs in at your address. There is no awkward "wait, am I on a different site now?" moment. When they reply to the email, the message reaches your support team.
How to set up your domain
The safest route is a subdomain, keeping your main website where it already is. Examples: space.yourbrand.com, members.yourbrand.com or learn.yourbrand.com.
- Pick the subdomain. Short, easy to say out loud and free of unnecessary hyphens.
- Add the domain in your platform. It tells you where your DNS should point.
- Create the DNS record. Where your domain is managed (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap or another provider), create an A record pointing to the IP address provided, or a CNAME record pointing to the hostname provided, following the instructions.
- Wait for propagation. It usually takes from a few minutes to a few hours.
- Verify. Once DNS is correct, the domain is verified and the HTTPS certificate is issued automatically.
Common pitfalls
- Do not point your root domain (yourbrand.com) if your website already lives there.
- If you use Cloudflare, check whether the record must be set to "DNS only" for verification to work.
- Do not announce the new address before you see the HTTPS padlock working.
How to apply your visual identity
The domain is half the job. The other half is making clients feel they are in your space.
- Logo: use a version that still reads well at a small size at the top of a phone screen.
- Colors: use your main brand color for buttons and highlights, and check contrast against the text.
- Fonts: use the same families as your website and social channels, at a comfortable reading size on a phone.
- School name: this is the sender name clients see on emails. Use the name your audience knows you by.
- Support contact: make it obvious where clients should write if they need help.
After setting everything up, open the area on your phone as a client and walk the full path: access email, password creation, first lesson. If anything feels like it belongs to another brand, fix it before you launch.
Tracking without losing trust
With the area on your own domain, it also makes sense to measure campaigns with GA4 or Meta Pixel. Do it with consent in mind: those tools should only load after the visitor accepts cookies, as required by LGPD, Quebec's Law 25 and GDPR.
Your domain and brand on ZeloClass
On ZeloClass every school uses its own domain, with automatic HTTPS, your logo, colors and fonts, and an area available in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese, with the language set per school and per client. Clients do not see the ZeloClass brand inside the area.
There is a single plan at R$249 per month. If you would like to see your brand applied to a members area, request a demo.
